Find a golden ticket from Terrapin for Georgia Theatre

Athens brewery Terrapin has announced it will release four specialty beers this year to help with fundraising efforts in rebuilding the Georgia Theatre, which was destroyed by fire in June.

Not only that, four lucky drinkers will receive a golden ticket (Willy Wonka-style) for a lifetime pass to shows at the newly rebuilt Georgia Theatre.

Titled "Terrapin's Georgia Theatre Sessions," the side-project beers, cleverly named for different eras in the building's history, will be released in Athens and Atlanta only in small batches - 500 cases (50 barrels of each).

Each beer will be packaged in its own box (like a fine scotch), and one box in each batch will contain the golden ticket, said Julia Weckback, events and marketing director with Terrapin.

The first beer, "The Iron Tankard" Old Stock Ale, is named for the building's start in 1889 as a YMCA and will be released in March.

The rest include "Double Feature" Belgian Dubbel, for the building's time as a movie theater, set for release in June; "Sound Czech" Czech Pilsner, for the Theatre's music venue era, set for release in September; and in December, "Hoptaneous Combustion" Imperial IPA, named for the fire and plans for the building's future.
